JET GH-1340A stock no. 321350

Do any of you use this lathe for chambering? I've found one at a really nice price, but I'm having some trouble getting info on it. Is it 1-3/8" or 1-1/2" thru-spindle diameter? Is the headstock length too long for chambering/crowing thru the headstock? What is the spindle length w/ chuck? Thanks!!

I have a 13x40 jet belt drive lathe that I am selling. Its a great machine and very accurate. 2200 bucks. Jet makes good products I think. Lee

1-1/2" spindle and 20-1/2" from end of spindle to furthest edge of chuck jaws.
They're not all created equal, but I am lucky to have a very good ghb1340. I think they are excellent for barrel work.

JET lathe

Thanks guys. I bought one out of the maintenance shop of a large production machining plant yesterday. It looked to be in great shape with very little use. Can't wait to try it out. Butch, I've seen some of the pictures of your cat head setup on another post. Nice! The hole in the cover on the back end of the spindle is fairly small... Do you guys just cut it out larger to fit a cathead / spider?
