I expect that..... but that's all good.

Assembled as shown measures 6 1/2 in. The threaded part looks like mine except for the head.....Did you make it?
Mort
Is this a light effect or is there some hard chromium plating on the dovetail ?
All of the new Aloris Holders have this coating on certain parts. I’m not sure what it is exactly.
We use nothing but Aloris Holders now on all of our lathes. That is a total of 18 ranging from the smallest to the largest.
Jackie,
18 lathes?! Holy cow...no idea the business had that many. If you ever get bored, I'd love to see a list of what you got. I'm kind of a lathe nerd...I find them fascinating.
Justin
Actually 14, as some are twin carriage.
Smallest to biggest.....

Jackie,
That's a pretty good sampling...American, Japanese, and Taiwanese. Which one is your favorite to run and why?
Justin
Since I do my Rifle work on the Pratt & Whitney, I guess it is my favorite.
But we have a specific function for every lathe. For instance, the Whacheon, which is a MoriSeki clone, is dedicated to making nothing but Rudder Bushings, which we make a lot of.
One of the Kingston’s is set up to make large Propeller Nuts, from 3 3/4 to 6 inch. We have a band saw that does nothing but hex nuts.
All of the other lathes are general purpose, from machining couplings, bolts, flanges, etc to long shafts.
Jackie,
How many employees does the business have?
Justin
How are you and Marilyn feeling?
