Mickey Coleman on another thread is asking about mirrors for borescopes. Would you have any ideas on this or where these could be obtained. You have a outstanding grasp of this subject.
Heck, I even have a question for you myself. Do you do any astrological (sp?) viewing as a hobby. I'm interested in an economical telescope for viewing...nothing special...just somethig for the family to do every now and then. Gosh and you brought up wavelengths...jeez...been to long...I remember using oscillating wavelength mirrors to seperate thermal in viewers, that was back in '84...I'm no engineer though...just a used to be Tech.

Yes I'm an amateur astronomer. If your interest is for occasional family use you want somthing that is very easy to use and setup and small (light & compact) enough to take to a good viewing sight (away from city lights and pollution - dark clear skies are what you want).
There are many solutions but to keep it simple I would suggest the Celestron - NexStar 4SE - 4" f/13 Maksutov-Cassegrain GoTo Telescope with XLT Coatings [CE-11049] ($599 at OPT) quick to set up easy to use and a good compact enough that you will actually use it.
