Dumped air on USFT?

What happened, blown safety disc?

LD,
It wasn't a blown safty disk. I took the valve apart. Every thing looked OK.
Hammer felt free. Put it back together and it held it's air. Shot two targets with no problem. Any Idea's ? Should I lube the valve stem? I have been running it dry along with a dry hammer. I did polish the hammer 300 - 400 pellets ago when I started testing the LW .20 barrel.

Thanks
Paul

Feb 6 Shoot

Paul, Again many thanks for your effort and hospitality, being able to compete with a great group of shooters indoors makes our dreary New England winters a lot more bearable. ( Paul has hit precipitation snow or rain 100% of the season so far ! ) Also please let me know the next time your going to dump all your air during a target because I'm still trying to find where that shot went LOL. All kidding aside it was great to see all the guns and gear, that wooden 1 pc. rest is a work of art! I'm looking forward to next month's shoot already with the promise of higher scores and a lot of new goodies to gawk at.

Mark

Some nice scores guys!!!
Paul, congrats on building up a solid match that keeps growing.

Best,
Michael

Wow!

That's some great shooting... Sorry I missed this one, would loved to have seen you all again and all the new airguns...

Happy Shooting Y'all,
Mitch & Shadow...

Don't know anything about USFT but if you run AA low on air they dump because there is insufficent pressure left in the main cylinder to keep the valve shut. Hence they dump. Oh and with the AA if you put 300 bar in they dump as well just more spectacularly and expensively.

Andy

Thanks guys,
Mark you win the prize for the most new toys! I love the tool box that holds your air tank! Both guns shot GREAT!
Doug, your New Rapid S- Type 250 first time out!

Mike, Looking forward to shooting at Easthampton this season.

Larry, Thanks for the idea's on the USFT.

Simmmo, Thanks for your input. I had just filled it to 1700 and he only shot 12 shots. I normally use only 200 psi for 28-30 shots.

Mitch, You will love the wooden rest Bob Hill made!

Frank, Great shooting! What a difference when you can see the targets. Glad they sent you a new scope!

Ray, You and your son had quite a competion going! Shooting the same equipment and only 2 points between you and your son.

AL and Norm, Maybe the Royals need all three together to shoot good. I have some of the older 18.1 if you want to try a tin?

Todd, I hope dumping the tank of air won't scare you away. I guess I should put a package of tighty whities in my range box.

See you next month.

Paul

Great match once again Paul. Even though I finished back in the pack, it was still fun. If I had it to do over again, the one change I would make, and will as soon as funds permit, is to be running with a .22 rather than the .177 as I think there is a definite advantage to the larger when shooting AGBR.
