The $6000 seats in the area are getting their money's worth.... :D

It doesn't really matter who 'wins' the game... there are no losers in this. They can be proud of their performance.

Yes LUONGO is the man for the job. Hometown crowd it is only fitting...... Brodeur is a great goalie and I would have to say he is like Tim Thomas. A great one but can be inconsistent. I love Tim's personality, he is a all around great down to earth man. I wish he was our's but you can all be proud of him. He is a great spokesperson for hockey.

Not Canada winning but the 2 BEST countries in the world settling it out on the ice.

It is not the type of goal one likes to see a win but we will take it. It should have a been a breakaway by Crosby against the best goalie of the tournament.

We struggled.

The US was the better team all tournament.

Until we meet again.....

And thanks for allowing Canada to set a new Olympic record of the first host country to win 14 GOLD......

Remember we feel BAD that we won gold.

I heard that the greatest rivalry between US and Canada was in the 1850's when the Canucks invented the world largest slingshot and bundled up din o mite and shot it accross the border at the US. We then sent a spy to Canada to get the plans for the slingshot...he did, we copied it then lit the bundles and shot them back at Canada...

it was tough trying to watch the game and talk shooting on the phone at the same time.

The hardest part, even harder than the game was being told over and over again, McMillan Edge stock and Max HV taper is the only way to go.

Sorry McMillan but if I wanted a 1x4 stock I will make my own out of real wood......:eek::eek:

Congrats to Canada

GREAT game by all, The way I see it the series is tied 1-1 whens the tie breaker ;):D. Or do we have to wait til the next Olympics:eek:
 
Well

Were not both teams, (and the Russians, for that matter), made up of NHL Stars who play against one another all the time. Sort of like an international "shirts against skins" game.

I am more impressed with the 4-man Bobsled Team. Some enterprising Americans, (how about some ex NASCAR Drivers), said, "why can't we do this as god as the Germans". So, they got out the rule book, figured out what it would take to win, and did it. High tech engineering, and thousands of hours of work paid off.

Did you get a look at those guys. They packed about as much "poundage" into that sled as the room would allow. In short, the Americans beat the more traditional powers at their own game.........jackie
