Gateway will hold it's first IR50/50 Rimfire Benchrest match this Saturday, 1/8/11. Practice will begin as soon as we have everyone set up and the match will begin at 10;00, this will allow a little more time for our travelers to get here from both North and South. Thumper

I plan to be there:

I'm driving all the way from Maine to shoot Saturday. Hope the weater is warm :)

Pete, Seems like a heck of a commute, but glad to hear that you'll be down to shoot with us again! We enjoy your company and your sense of humor. Bring your rest and I'll supply the guns if you need them again. It sounds like we are going to have a good turn-out, Ernie, Doug Bell, Bob Collins, Mike Cameron, Rob Hanrahan, Bob Pekaar, and the rest of the usual suspects, including Brenda Aldridge, our 10.5 lb. SOTY champ. So load up your best ammo and "come on down". Thumper

Thanks Thumper, I picked up a couple of ratty guns over the past year and some Walmart ammo that don't shoot too bad so I'm all set. I appreciate your offer of being able to use REAL BR rifles though. See you Saturday.

Pete,
I'm jealous....I have to wait till April to drive 1200 miles for a match. Possible big snowstorm for the NE on Saturday, so I'll be thinking about you guys down there.
Todd

Well Todd, I cheated a bit. I went to the shoot at the Barn the first of the December and kept going South until I Hove Too in Daytona Beach. I will be here until the first of April. Just a matter of deciding which match or matches I want to shoot at on the way home :) . Look forward to seeing you again in the Spring somewhere. Stay out of the Hot Sun! :). Pete

Pete, you have disappointed me! I wanted a marksman of your experience, know-how, background, education, training, and abilities to test my new "build" for the season! It's a "Falcoremturbstillesavularughall" with a "Brougcreekshilhartbenchdoug" one groove,22 Twist double reverse taper barrel with the new "Vonharrehoehn J slide weighted Muzzle Device" and a "Jewhartshilrem" trigger set in the new and improved "Stithturnpipmac" stock. The gunsmithing, metal work, and bedding was produced by Chinese monks who had been imprisoned in Mongolia for the past 10 years and their only outside contact with the world was a PC set to BRC only! The gun was tuned by the combined efforts of Marty, Vibe, and the world renowned master Stigall. Now, all I need is some of that Kangaroo snot bullet lube the Aussie's have been using to win everything in the world. All kidding aside, it will be good to see you again and am looking forward to seeing Todd and crew also at the Crawfish Shoot. While we are speaking of commutes, you ought to ride with me out to Montana for their State Shoot. I've done that for the past two years and have enjoyed it to the max. They are a good group of guys and gals and the scenary is unbelievable. See ya soon. Thumper

Was it painted with Lead based paint as well Bill? Regarding commutes: the 2009 Score 100-200 Nationals was held in NW Iowa and the 2010 in Western Michigan so we have diven a few miles ourselves. Beyond that, we drove to Kentucky last Sprong for George's Money Score Shoot. Wore my old Blue Van plumb out and had to trade on the way to Michigan last summer :( . The nice thing about traveling is meeting new people. Sometimes folks who have hated eachother for years can even be civil in person :).

Pete, no paint, we decided to "go green" and help save the earth from the pitfalls of "Global Warming"! I think the lead based paint would have put me over on weight anyway. Thumper

Hey Thumper, How's the "Global Warming" doing down there in Fl. this winter. See you in April.

Pete,
Looks like I'll be shooting with you at the Crawfish in April, and I'm hoping I can make it to Maine to shoot with you folks again next summer, too.
Thumper, I'm looking forward to checking out your new FalcoremturbstillesavularughallBrougcreekshilhartbenchdougVonharrehoehJslideweightedMuzzleDeviceJewhartshilremStithturnpipmac!
Take Care,

Bill,
You owe me for a new Apple laptop. When i fell out of my chair from laughing so hard i think it hit the floor first. Later. Happy shooting. -Clint

Gerald, the warming just ain't working the way Gore predicted it, we've had several days in the "teens" and even had sight of snow flurries right after Christmas. Nothing stuck of course and not measurable but still the same, it was something for Florida. Usually by the end of Feb winter is over for us, so I can just about predict that we will be in shorts and T-shirts by Crawfish Time.
Todd, spellcheck is still running on the the new rifles name, so now am just gonna call it the "Misfit". It's a shooter though!
Clint, as usual with the Navy's supply system, all laptops are on backorder! Same as that lot of Eley that shot Killer in your gun last year, and now there is none to be found on Earth. Thumper

Here is Bill's .....Oh I mean Thumpers new hammer

Looks like mine except mine ain't got the Lead Paint on it :)

Pete i put an extra 3 pounds on it for him ......It's a water borne paint so doesn't add much weight at all

And no fish eyes ......

Is the Water Borne Paint, the Water based paint that doesn't require resporators and spray booths any longer?

Pete

We still use all the same stuff but we have added fans to the booths so the paint dry's quicker. It's environmentally friendly and no hazardous waste ..

Jim

PS Whens Bill going to post the scores....I couldn't make it but hear it was windy and cold
