Front rest windage options????

A little late on this but that JJ rest will win you as many matches as any. Please don't concern yourself with anything so trivial as "binding". The rest system should be one that allows rapid POA acquisition with minimal distraction.

After much thought and seeing the new sinclair rest i have decided to keep the JJ rest. the rest is really a great tool. I will make up some sand bags and i am looking for a quick feed system of some type for the rest. The JJ rest really allows me to fine tune my point of aim on my ppc and i like that. A shooting dude i know has one of the new Sinclair's so i drove over to check it out, and i thought it looked like a 600 rest but not a $700 or a $800 rest. I really dont think the windage style will hinder anyone so i would agree, that its pretty much a non issue, at least for me. The JJ rest i have is a smoother rest than the Sinclair, as i also felt the Sinclair wasnt as fine tunable as the jj. What i mean is, the adjustments were not as smooth or as fine. I hope that makes since! It just seemed a bit harder to make that ultra fine adjustment on the Sinclair compared to my JJ. It was OK though, dont get me wrong.
I found a Hart base with a pedestal and a wheel so i bought that. Now i will sit patently and wait for a good deal on a shade tree top. I think butch is a good man, and he has already proven to me he is a fair man, so i am going to try his top out on the hart base. I think it will make a dandy set up for a score shoot. The only problem is, i am not a patient man, and i think butch has some in stock. LOL!! Actually i am a little short on the caching at the moment so i will just have to wait a bit. I think its more rewarding anyway, when you take these kinds of purchases in stride. Gives me something to look forward to. Hey fellas this has been a good read, and i appreciate all the participation. I hope i am not wearing anyone out here. I just cant help myself, i love this stuff!!! Lee

Also, that Hart base can......................

be modified w/bearings, to make the wheel feel even smoother, and I think the cost is pretty reasonable.

No doubt about it, the JJ is a superb rest and keeping it is a wise choice. I do not agree with your statement about the Sinclair adjustments not being smooth and not able to make fine adjustments. They are smooth, precise and can make fine adjustments. I think if you used it more, you would be able to alter your technique to achieve the desired result you are looking for. It takes some time getting used to the Sinclair type speed screw.

That sir could very well be true. This is just my experience after the very limited time i spent with it. I will say that i was hoping very much, that would have liked the Sinclair better than my JJ. That wasnt the case for me, with that particular rest. Lee

skeet

It's not on the Edgewood site because I am guessing it is made exclusively for Brunos. It's listed on the Bruno's website but his site is a little hard to navigate so look under "Edgewood" then scroll down to Super bag about $139. there may be a picture of it there too. If you don't like it and want to sell it give me a shout- not sure it's wide enough for my stock but would like to try a used one if you or anybody else has one to sell.
good luck.

The one from Bruno made by Edgewood does not have the logo on it.
I just received one from them yesterday.
It may shoot ok but I am a bit disappointed in it at this point.
I was going for one of the Bumble bee bags from protector but Lester talked me into this one.
The sides are all soft like one of the cheaper protektors but it does have a good donut base.
Looks may be deceiving. I have a match this weekend and then I will know for sure.
I should say though the service and everything was superb.

I had a similar situation with an Edgewood Mini Gator with handle. The doughnut base rounded up when packed full of sand and developed a round bottom. I had to slam it down on the bench several times to get it to lay flat. Even then, it still was not stable.
