Fl IR5050 matches

To those who would like to shoot all winter, we are shooting an IR5050 3 gun and a 3 card unlimited match on Sunday Nov 24th at 9AM ( 8AM sign up) and every 4th Sunday of the month after that, at least till May, at the Manatee Gun Club, 1805 Logue Rd., Myakka City, Fl. One exception...... Due to a centerfire match in Feb., we will shoot our Feb IR50 match on Sat March 8th. Hope to see you there. Coffee and donuts will be served.

We won't be in Fl until late December but my make Bradenton our first destination.

Hi Pete......Looking forward to seeing you and Joanna again. We will be shooting the 3 gun fallowed by 3 unlimited cards. Too bad you have to wait till Dec. The weather is gorgeous down here. DJB

Hi, I am new to Florida, Did a lot of 50/50 matches in New York, and ara in Pa. afew years ago. The matches are not far from me in Venice. Hope to make the next match.

Hi Joe.......I am in Nokomis, which is next to Venice. To get to the Manatee, take Interstate 75 north to Hwy 64 and head east on 64 for 18 miles to Logue rd. Take a left on Logue and go about 1 mile till you see the Manatee club sign on the left. Hope you can make it. DJB

Hi DJB, About how long of a drive is it from Venice ?

Hi Joe...From Nokomis it is about 50 to 55 minutes. For you it should be around 1 hour and 10 minutes. Not a bad drive due to good roads and traffic will be nothing like the trip to the Antelope. See you there. Gate will be open by 7:30 if not a little sooner. Doug
 
Manatee match results

After I got all the results sent to the shooters my PC went down. Up and running again to post the results........... It was a very windy day to say the least. We had about 30+ gusts and it just blew hard all day. There was no figuring it out. You just used what ammo you thought would work and just pulled the trigger and hoped the bullet hit where you wanted it to. Most of the ones that got caught in a switch or gust were lost 3 points or worse. We had one new shooter, Joe Turturro, who I would like to thank for coming to our IR50 match and braving the terrible winds with the rest of us. The scores showed just how tough it was. There will be no Winds of Manatee this coming February, due to ongoing range modifications. Our club is presently extending the BR range out to 300 yards, as part of other improvements. We shall not be able to provide the normal balmy start to the SE region match schedule in 2014. Our apologies.
Hope to see all in 2015.

Sad to hear that your Winds of the Manatee match has been canceled. You do not have to miss out on all the fun. Get your rimfire rifle out and come out and shoot our matches. We have 3 matches per month and that way you can still shoot in the wind. We will make you feel right at home. Doug:)
