I bought a couple of boxes of Fifer's Custom Bullets that were in the boxes of stuff in the hall at Kelblys. They are in a blue box and are 62.5 grain on 0.750 jackets. I have never heard of this bullet. Anyone know the details? I'm just curious.

Jerry, I have not heard of Fifer either......... But I make my 6mm's on a .790 jacket @ 62gr.... They like 3420-3440 range and another node that is solid, 3490- 3520 this with 133. The "new" pulldown 8208 shoots REAL well with my 62's @ 3570-3585..! Case full of course..

? 8 ogive.... 7 1/2 mabe..??? My Blackmon point die is a strait 8ogive.

good luck with these pills, I'll bet they shoot good!

Jerry The bullets where made by Ron Fifer. He was a well known bullet maker from indiana.Hope this helps ya.

Jerry Ron was an avid shooter,i would say that he did shoot at fairfield.I met ron in 1978 at beesons range.I shot a lot of his bullets back then, the bullets you have were probly made on sierra jackets on sherman bullet making dies.I think that is what Ron told me he was using at the time, exalent bullets

Weren't some of the earlier Sierra jackets the reason the Junke machine and jacket boring processes developed for?
