Federal primers

I can find no Fed. LR match primers. What happened to them ? No one I deal with has had any for over a year. Are they still making them ?

I'm not really sure but the only difference between the SR match and the SR205's is the match primers have been inspected to make sure they have an anvil in them. I usually shoot the SR205's and look to make sure they have an anvil. In something like 7500 primers I haven't seen a standard primer without an anvil. I suspect thats the only difference between the LR match and the LR210's. Maybe someone here knows this for a fact.

Thanks. I might try the standard large rifle primers in place of the match. I found the small 205m at Powder Valley for a very reasonable price ( 33.00@1000) , but they have no Large . I wonder what happened to them ?

Federal does not manufacture any of their primers,CCI does.

Blount Ind(CCI/Speer/RCBS/Outers) merged with ATK,a DOD contractor & they are definitely NOT your or my friend in the shooting sports.

I still think Federal does indeed still make their own primers using their well established means and methods and CCI also their own. Just because some one gets bought out does not mean it has now all became the same product but only that the ownership has changed.
