Favorite Songs....

I've discovered my tastes in music has changed over the years. I started out liking some of the Country music back in the 50's and 60's, graduated to standard Rock n' Roll-Pop music, Simon and Garfunkle, some Soul music...especially Percy Sledge and Otis Redding and now decades down the road I seem to enjoy again some of the old Country songs I started with. Mostly Ray Price, Jim Reeves and Patsy Cline. I even have a CD collection of Big Band music of the Dorsey Brothers, Artie Shaw, Glen Miller, etc. I transferred a lot of Jim Reeves and Patsy Cline to reel to reel not long back. I had forgotten how good rtr sounded when recorded from LP's.

This song is heading right up there with Skanky Cyrus in number of YouTube views.
140+ million views and climbing fast, so it must be a great song?

I saw the original "Thick as a Brick " in the Montreal forum in 1972.

And the latest "Thick as a Brick 1 + 2 " last Friday in the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary.

Bradley Walker singing "I never go around mirrors" is close to the top of the list. Old Lefty did it pretty dern well also. Jerry Douglas's Senia's Lament is up there too.
