Lots of damage county wide. Big trees down, power outages, houses smashed. Double wide on same property as range cut completely in half by huge tree.

We managed to squeeze in 2015 East Texas Championship between rain storms
and damaging winds yesterday. This Sunday morning its pouring down again. 57 shooters decided to brave the rain chances and attend the match.
It was hot, humid and windy. So… just a typical day. Winds stayed about 13 and gusted to 16.
Switched back and forth all day from left to right, to quartering to straight at you.
In the end, Darrel Martin shooting his brand new 284 Shehane came out on top.
Out of 40 clay birds he only missed one mini and one midi at 400 yds. He scored 950 out
of the possible 1000 pts. Joe Duke came in second with 870 pts, Travis Frazier third with 840 and Donnel Gaines fourth with 780 pts.
High Women was Tracy Holbrook with 690 pts. Second place was Lindsay Smith with 580, and third
was Morgan Babin with 570 pts.
High Youth was Cooper Shaw.

Awards as follows:
Darrrel Martin- match winner, Nightforce 12x42 BR scope
Joe Duke- 2nd place, $400.00
Travis Frazier- 3rd place, $300.00
Donnel Gaines- 4th place, $200.00
Tracy Holbrook- High Women, $300.00
Cooper Shaw- High Youth, $60.00
Plaques and “top 10 caps” to 1st thru 10th open
Plaques 1st thru 3rd womens
Plaque to High Youth

Before the awards ceremony we gave away prizes from the prize table by drawing.
Need to thank the following donors and ask all those that received a prize to drop an email to the donor that was kind enough to send it for the match.
