Has anyone tried to make reservations at the Comfort Suites lately.. I have not be able to get thru and was wondering if they were having some phone line issues..

Is the comfort suite where everybody stayed last time.
 
Yes, Doug, that is where you will get the good rate. I just tried to call, and nobody is answering the phone. I can't amagine why. the number I have is (281) 290-7070.........jackie
 
The long distance operator says they are having phone problems in the area and that is one of the areas.... I'll try tomorrow and that is the number I have as well..

They won't answer the phone.

Is it any wonder why they won't pick up the phone? They have a good idea who may be on the other end...You; and all of the other shooters staying there. The motel staff are over at the war surplus store right now trying to buy a tank because as they told the clerk "with this bunch we may need it." You want rooms? Just show up dressed like a goth heavy metal band complete with black eyeliner, teased hair wigs and spandex. Act drunk and loud. Wave your arms about and spout gibberish. You will get rooms a lot easier then if you announce yourself as a Gulf Coast member shooting the Crawfish. I hear the locals are referring to members of the Gulf Coast as illegals. The police chief clarified this statement as not meaning illegal aliens but illegal humans. Tim

Finally made contact and have my room... $59+ tax... not bad and the heavy metal band will be playing in the lobby Saturday night. Might not be a good as Jackie playing guitar hero and singing but after a few adult cocktails who cares....
Believe it or not the guy on the other end of the phone new what the Gulf Coast Region members was all about.. As far as acting drunk that might not be a problem either. reservationist kept mentioning a 50.00 additional fee for room damage and I told him we are not even there yet.....

Any mud bugs!!!!
 
Doug, to heck with 'guitar hero', I will bring my Strat and Marshal Amp, that is, if we can get Doc Tim to sing Johnny Cash's "Sunday Morning Coming Down"............jackie
 
Lets do it......How about "I keep a close watch on this heart of mine" or I fell into a burning ring of fire, I went down down down and the flames went higher.....and it burns burns burns, the ring of fire....Not to get mixed up with the other ring of fire..... Lol
