Country Pond will be hosting a Sporter SOTY and a 3 Gun SOTY this Sunday, the 16th. Registration will begin at 0800. Hot lunch will be served. The Hooter Girls informed me it is a bit to nippy to make an appearance at the range this weekend. However one of the Circus' from a local fair said they may swing by and set up in the parking lot. Come one,come all and bring a friend.

Well, if its a little nippy for the regular gals I could bring some BMW's (Big Maine Women). The slender gals are nice to look at but us Maine guys prefer a little heft for the LONG winters!
The Circus would be nice but I hope there isn't any of the clowns on the news of late are there.
Will the party Sat night have an adverse effect on the W?
Will I be testing ammo or an untested barrel in a match that has the SOTY on the line?
Will I shoot all my targets??

The clown thing is an utter disgrace, anyone participating should be ...
The end result of the party is to be determined. The lawn is cut, the tent is up, caterer all set, porta potty has been delivered, playlists off to the DJ, center pieces ready place and the light show has been tested. After thinking about it maybe you should shoot with an untested barrel or maybe just come to the party.
See you Sunday Kieth, try to talk some of the Maine guys into coming down.

The Champagne of Maine

W, don't forget the BMW's favorite drink for the party. Allen's Coffee Flavored Brandy, Maine's #1 & #2 selling adult beverage. It is both the #1 & #2 seller as #1 is a Half Gallon. The #2 best seller, a distant one, is the same but in a litre. Its a concoction of itself & milk. Its been the best selling beverage here for 2 decades.
Its mostly a gals drink & a major cause of our BMW's. I once saw though a gal getting a half gallon of ACB & low fat milk! God bless her for trying! :)
Its been called many things over the years. At a bar you'd ask for a Sombrero.
Other names are the aforementioned "Champagne of Maine".
I'd also heard it called "fat ass in a glass".
But my all time favorite came from my son-in-llaw. "Liquid Panty Dropper" :) And he wasn't kidding. The stuff works!
What all that has to do with rfbr or our upcoming match I don't know.
But I thought I'd throw it out there for your upcoming shin dig.

Congrats to W for winning the sporter match & to Ed for taking the 3-gun in the afternoon.
Had a great time with you all today & it was nice to have a full house.
Also nice to have a new shooter who'll hopefully stick with it. Thanks to all for mentoring him, especially Klayton & Ed. I'm sure we left a lasting impression on him if nothing else.
