Competition Pressure Lesson & GOLD!

Bill Collaros

Shoot to Thrill
Over at the Winter Olympics Tora Bright from Australia just showed us how to handle pressure to take GOLD in the Snowboard Half Pipe. She was a favourite going in & qualified 1st for the final. In the final you get 2 runs & your best counts as your score. She fell in the 1st run & came back in the
2nd with a brilliant ride to take GOLD. She had done all the training, hard work & had all the moves, the impressive part was holding her nerve & coping with the pressure she was under for that 2nd run. A GOOD LESSON TO ALL COMPETETIVE SPORTS PEOPLE.

Hey Bill

Give me a 2nd shot at each of my misses and I believe I can handle the pressure. Fred

Thats a good one Fred, Hell I have taken a second shot and it not be any better.

Get What? The Pressure?

Pressure is simply one element of competition; If you can't handle it you will never be a winner. It's part of the game. Been there Done that. Fred

Of course it is only one part, but a very big part & I wasnt suggesting anything else, it was just a statement about competing at the highest level & coping with immense pressure, simple as that, no need for an argument over it. Some might find it helpful.
