CMP 40x vs. 1411

I am in the market to get a nice 22 rifle. I would like to eventually slowly upgrade and participate in competition. I right now am stuck between a CMP 40x or picking up an 1411 from MTguns. I am not sure which direction to go. Is on a better foundation to start from?

either will work but the 40X is gonna be easier to build on.

I shoot an Annie and an ULA, but I would go for the 40x. It is tried and true!

I picked up a 40X to build on but it was in nice shape so I sent my 1411
off for a new Broughton.
I do plan on building on a Stiller 40 clone if I can get one.
I shoot my 1600/Hart as of now and it shoots way better than I can.
Horse a piece - You'll end up with a full build in the end.
Probably more than one.
Don't forget about a used BR rig - Alot of bang for your buck - usually.
