Chronograph question

I have three chrony's. I've found that for them to read velocity consistently they must be artificially lighted. (My OPINION)

I recently tagged them together as shown below. The pic ain't much but if you look closely you'll see 3 Chrony's, all different models, set up in a line.

What's not shown is that I swapped them around some and changed up the lighting for a couple hours.

It is my belief that if one buys a Chrony and buys or builds the artificial lighting system they will get trustworthy results. And furthermore that using the things right out of the box will give meaningful RELATIVE results but it is my opinion that as lighting changes so will velocity readings, sometimes.

IMO using them midday, maybe 9:00 to 3:00, on a clear day with the sun nearly overhead and using the provided skyscreens will yield repeatable results.

I'm very happy with the Chrony's.
