Chamber polishing

As a afterthought, ask the bullet swage maker's as to there thought on emery cloth on a stick.

I give my chambers a slight cross hatch polish with some 600 grit dipped in WD-40 and don't see any downfall, or pick up any runout with the indicator after.

In fact, I don't have enough time in the day to polish long enough on the lathe to change dimensions let alone .001"

Do you realize how much polishing you would have to do? Unless of course, you're polishing with 80 grit.

In fact, if the reamer is sharp and no chips are caught between the flutes and the chamber, from lets say withdrawing the reamer before the spindle/chuck stops. Most times the chamber shouldn't even need any polishing.
