Happy New Year to everyone. Here we are the start of another year and the weather was bearable:rolleyes:. Temps were in the low 40's and damp, winds were typical Central Jersey "light & variable". We had a great turnout today. Twelve shooters showed up to try there skills at 100 yds. I thought we were going to have the pleasure of the "IBS Group Shooter of the Year" being amongst the competitors today. However with the "steriod debacle" going on I can understand why he didn't make it. In his place we did have a new shooter, RJ Boop a 10 year old shooter. I have to say that group shooting is definetly in his genes. This was his first time out and he did very well in some tricky condtions, .3116 agg. Of course he did have some good coaching from his Dad, Russ Boop. It is really great to see new shooters, especially juniors. FWIW junior shooters are not charged a match fee.
The results are:
1. Bill McIntyre .2596
2. Paul Bielec .2738
3. Bob White .2868
4. Bill Gennaro .2980
5. Dana Mattern .2988 (220Beggs NT)

Small Group
Paul Bielec .141

Junior Shooter
RJ Boop .3116

As always thanks to Ken Alfredo, Bill Gennaro's wife and Bill McIntyre for the cake, cookies, coffee, hot chocolate and hot dogs. Thanks to Bob White for scoring. Hope to see you next week for our 200yd match. Thanks to everyone for coming. And to RJ Boop great shooting.:D

A picture is worth a thousand words!

They Look Like Brother's

 The Master is up in Maine coyote hunting I believe. Joel I knew there was a picture out there I am glad you found the evidence. Now the Feds can proceed, hey maybe the one in the middle is the supplier. I wouldn't put it past him.

Dana,

Can you send me a match schedule and directions to the range?

Much appreciated.

Eric

Hunting in Maine or hiding out? We thought for sure he would grace us with his presence yesterday at Central Jersey!

Great shooting by RJ. Boop! The little guy did quite well for his first match!

Thanks again Dana for running the match and Bob White for scoring the targets.

I hope to have venison chili on the menu for the February 100 yard match.

Bill McIntyre

Russ,
I have to agree, don't think he is up in Maine for hunting. Got a feeling he is getting ready for next season;). If you know what I mean:D

Thanks guys for the quick response.

I hope to attend a few matches. My schedule is a little hectic.

Soon you all will be able to ski indoors at the Meadowlands. Won't that be special.

Eric

Monday thru friday I live on route 18 in East Brunswik, not too far from the range. For 2 years now I've been working on the new Meadowlands Xanadu Mall. I should have shot some matches last winter but it's hard with the guns and the hotel etc. Still in the hotel but they will just have to deal with it...after 2 years I am a entitled to the good customer consideration.

Any body got an appartment where I won't get robbed, mugged or killed?

You can leave your stuff with me, no problem. I can bring it back and forth to the matches. What kind of work do you do? I'm a retired Electrician. But don't spread that around;)

I appreciate the offer. I may take you up on that. I will have to get another gun up and running. I am trying to keep up with the boys at Canastota too.

I am a PM for a steel erector. We have erected 5 of the 7 buildings here at Xanadu including the snowdome (complete with bunny hill) that you can see for miles on the turnpike. Very interesting building if you are a construction nerd like myself. I may be a pencil pusher now but I will have it known that I started at the bottom of the barrel in the Laborers local #322.
