Can I post raw video?

I'm trying to post some video I shot last nite but WITHOUT having to start a youtube channel......

I know lots of folks like to use a "host site" even for posting simple snapshots, I do not.

But I can't seem to figure out how to post video directly from my computer to BRC.

thoughts?

There's some choices I have to allow such posts. What's the file extension and the file size?

My camera does about 22-24min of hi-rez video before shutting off which results in a file size of I believe about two gigs.....

Of course I can edit snippets or whatever.

I don't understand "file extension" so I'll ask someone who does and get back to you :)

Thank You'se Magoon and Allen..... I'm getting it bit by bit

It's funny, my wife's been "coding" now for well over a year, LOVES it. She's made "her first web pages" and "her first apps" and such. And my kids all write programs and make apps and movies like there's nothing to it, three of my kids are on youtube "getting hits" and "likes" and all that.... but they're really picky and really good at it and really CARE, they spend DAYS editing and overlaying and FX'ing .......but Ol' AnilWa just wants to copy/paste.... unedited footage....

cuz he's too friggin' lazy to take the time to learn WHY this stuff works.

But even moreso because he's got hundreds of hours of stuff stored on terrabytes for personal use, in all sorts of formats and from 15 different devices.....and it's all DIFFERENT.......

Just like a Toyota is different than a Ferd.... but still "the same"

And he can plug in a storage device and play it on his computer(s) even when he has to buy another computer to do it.....

And he doesn't have the time to bring it up to a standard his kid would allow on the air!

Sorry

I'm getting there....

Thank you all for your help.

OK..... so I currently use 3 cameras and have a 4th that I'm setting up as a wide angle closeup to the lathe chuck.

The video mentioned, recorded in format .mov was taken with a Contour roam, one of my bike helmet cams (I say 'bike'..... let me be clear, my "bike" has a motor.
Contrary to what seems to be popular belief I DO NOT pedal my ass on the street...)....

I have a second Contour set up as a traveler also....

My main camera is a Sony Alpha series, a 7S with something called an "Art Lens" so it has no zoom, it just sets there at a known distance and looks perty. It takes wikked good audio. It's a total lightsucker, it will film under thee sylverie moon and make it look like broad daylight... GREAT hunting camera. It takes phenomenal video but doesn't especially like the bright lights over my lathe...........the Sony is file extension .mp4

The 4th one is stolen from an in-car setup..... a "dash-cam" and I haven't shot anything with it yet as it's AC and I need to plumb in my power supply. Maybe I'll hook it to a car ba'ddry and shoot some vid just to check it's properties.

So.... so far, file extensions;
.mov
.mp4
