Also, isn't it the VLD bullets that need 300 yards or more to stabilize?

I don't think I would buy that go to sleep thing universally. These 70-grain Berger VLDs shoot in the 1s and 2s at 100 yards.
 
( Laughing to myself...) OK so after I've shot this rifle a few more times...What on earth am I going to rechamber it in? .22 cal on 700 LA.
Barrel may end up on a short action in 22 BR or some such thing...Anyone ever " moved up" a shot-out throated barrel?
