Please, let me know, did anybody of you pointed Berger 6,5mm VLD bullets? Is this method actually thriving in US top competitions? Is it proven fact that it adds to BC? I know that the tip has smaller diameter,on the other hand, first part of the bullet is shaped differently-has no longer VLD shape in front part... I think, this could cause more aerodynamic resistance, than the original VLD shape....so there is a good thing-smaller front diameter, but not a good thing...shape of the beggining part of the bullet. Can it all together give any BC imrovement or it could be just marketing or myth? I concider spending money on that, but at first I would like to know some more info to make sure ,that I would not just waste the money.
Please, let me know your experience. Seems to me,so far, not too many people is willing to do this..Am I wrong?

Super:

I would respectfully suggest that you need to read the old thread links found on the 4th page of the thread just a few below this one -- entitled something like "bullet trimming and meplat closing" -- if that is the wrong title, it is close for the purpose of you finding it.

Read all of the history and the results and make your own informed decision.

Good luck,
