Bragging on my Grandson again!

A lot of you have shot with him a few years ago at Tomball, Denton, and in Arkansas. He is playing football on scholarship at West Virginia University. He is the starting kicker as a freshmen. He set a WVU freshman record with a 50 yard FG a couple weeks ago, He is ahead of the pace to be the all time freshman scorer for the year, He kicked the winning FG in overtime Saturday against TCU for the game winner, and he was named the Big 12 Conference special teams player of the week this past week.
He does miss having no time for himself, but loves West Virginia and football. I really miss our time together shooting BR and hunting.

Good things happening to a good kid, Butch....I'm happy for him and know you must be a proud man, of him.--Mike

Thanks Mike, He remembers eating a good piece of meat with you when we went to Vanderbilt. Said he would like to try your windflags. Oh well, maybe in a few years.

Butch, you EARNED being PROUD - your role in nurturing one of his parents (yep, I'm guilty of not knowing/remembering which) has manifested itself in his dedication to success: for him to honor both his parents, and you, through his actions and deeds, and in the end, HIMSELF, "says it all", . . . the next time ya look in a mirror, pat that guy on the back!:) This world/country could use a little MORE PRIDE! :D RG

Thanks Randy,
Josh is kinda quiet, but gets a little excited when Papaw doesn't have his BR rifle in tune. The 85 grain bullets that you made in 6mm are working great in another Grandson's 6X47 Lapua. God, I love them all! I have a great Grand Daughter coming home in a few minutes. She always says,"Papaw, I'm ready to come home."

Send him to me Butch

We are proud of him here in West Virginia too Butch and like I told you before, we are keeping him. If he needs anything related to shooting, you just let me know Butch. If he wants to shoot in a couple small local club matches, just let me know.

Thanks DaveT, He would love it, but college football is year around. Off Season is similar to in season. Up at 5:30AM for conditioning, shower and breakfast, classes, late lunch, practice on your own, and 2 hours mandatory study hall. He is ready for bed. Monday is their day off. Now that is off season. He takes classes year around and has quite a bit of hours already. You have to have a real passion for it as you do in shooting. Those are the people that succeed. You don't teach it, I think you are just born with it.

Butch,

We do not know each other, but I am sure there are lots of people would love to trade places with you. My grandson is just 8 weeks old, I could just imagine how proud of a grandpa you are.

Lost a tough one tonight

We lost a tough one here in West Virginia tonight Butch. Trust me Texas barely made it out of here with this win, but they know it too and I'm sure they don't want to come back here and play at night anytime soon.

I think we will say what the whorns said last year"Wait until next year!". We are about 85% freshmen and sophomores. I think only 6-9 will graduate from the 2 deep. A loss is a loss regardless of the score. Hopefully we will have a QB next year. We have played 3 and I believe the one that has most potential has been out most of the year with torn pec muscles.
Nez, I'll forgive you of your transgressions.
