The conditions for todays match were tough to say the least with strong gust and hard switches and some big time vertical. There were periods of rain and ended with sunshine for the final match of the day, over half the field dropped a point so that tells you the conditions were pretty tough. We had a new shooter won factory class, David Beam shooting a 204 ruger won with a 219-2x score. In VFS Ms. Kim Llewellen wore our butts out with some outstanding shooting, a 250-22x score that was quite impressive in that mess, Adrian VanGorder was 2nd w 250-20x's with a LV gun to set a potential new record( It ties Herbies score from earlier this year at KC's but it hasn't been verified by the record commitee yet) Hal Drake was 3rd w 250-19x, Wayne France was 4th w 250-17x and Herbie rounded out the top 5 w 250-16x. We had 2 new shooters with us today, Richard Deviers and Thomas Gray, we were glad to have them even though the conditions weren't very welcoming, I think they had fun and hope they will come back and play again. Kim has long been known as one of the prettiest and sweetest ladies in the game and in case anyone hasn't noticed she has also turned into one of the best shooters in the game, she will very deservingly finish very well in the SSOY race and it couldn't happen to a more deserving or nicer person. Kim you do the sport proud. Congrats to all that shot well. Kay has 1 more match this year on Nov. 7th a 100 yd match see ya there, Steve

yes it was quite a day

on 3 of my 4 flags the tail managed to get wrapped around the daisy wheel by the third match .... haven't seen much of that in the past .....

and given these conditions ... the scores of Kim, Adrian and Hal are something indeed ... great shooting folks ...

and in spite of the conditions (and my inability to react fast enough) I had a great time once again ....

Mike
