Both are excellent lathes. I agree with Uncle Bill, the 10EE is best for what we use it for. The HLV-H is an excellent lathe, but!

This one uses a common NT30 tool holder. That was one of the big things that convinced me to buy it.

Gorton usta be in Madison Wi...just across from a tittybar. I bought an H60 CNC from them about 1972. Very well built machine (and high enough off the floor to keep new puppy dogs out!)
