FYI,
Sloughhouse Benchrest Shooters will be holding a Chabot Special match this coming Saturday August 1st on the Bob Dorton Memorial BR Range (Range 11) at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center in the heart of the Ione Triangle.
This is our most popular match format, and offers a chance to shoot for both group & score on the same 3-bull target. It attracts shooters from a variety of disciplines, HP, F-Class & traditional BR.
We shoot (4) 3-bull caliber specific (6mm or 30) targets, 5 shots per bull for a total of 60 shots for record.
Range gates open at 7:00, no need to check in at the office, proceed directly to Range 11 for sign-in.
Please let me know by Thursday afternoon if you are attending, it helps us to know how many frames to set up. I will do the bench draw Thursday evening and e-mail the bench assignments to the attendees on Thursday evening, or early Friday morning so you can start setting up when you arrive.
On a personal note:
As some of you know, my 89 yr young Mom who lives with me had heart surgery this morning to have her Aortic Valve replaced. Everything went well, she is recovering nicely, and I appreciate everyone's prayers & good wishes. I mention this to let the attendees know that depending on what is going on with her, caregiver availability etc, I may not make it to the match.
If I do not show up, Jeff & Dave will be running the match, and will need a lot of patience and understanding on their "Maiden Voyage" at running a match.
I am sure they will greatly appreciate any offers of help!
If I can make it I hope to be there by @ 7:30 once I get my Mom squared away & get myself on the road.
Hope to see you at the range, match format attached.
