… This version uses the Anschutz 5056 4K trigger and is currently being tested for bench rest for the LV & HV classes. Will be available in different power configs. The "Atom" will be commercialized sometime in 2018

JG66,

That seems like a good beefy action with a very nice trigger group...Who makes these ATOM actions/guns?.
It is good to have more options for high quality products, best of luck with this project and please keep us informed of the progress.

Best regards,

AZ

Azuaro,

The action maker is actually a well known guy ...who also happens to make some sweet stocks. He is still having the current rifle set up tested thoroughly by another world class BR shooter for feed back and until he is satisfied with all niggles ironed out. The plan is to offer LV & HV versions using the same action block. User / owner / competitor simply changes a few parts and presto ! from 12 to 20 ft/lb in less than a few minutes...same thing with trigger options - swap it out  going from brand A, to brand B, to brand C ...or same with barrel - 16mm diameter - which means plenty of opportunity setting up your dream rig with the same action block trying out polygon or LW, or CZ barrels to your hearts content.

The branding, marketing , brochure, specs and details will be the final part & then...the maker will reveal himself in due course around Spring / Summer 2018.

Thanks for the interest - we shall keep you posted.

Regards

...The same action block has the Anschutz 5065 trigger swapped out....fitted is the Walther KK500 trigger....

If you intend to sell in the US, please consider using an air tube that uses a Foster fitting.

All the best with this project. I know many are watching it develop.

Steve W.

No worries , the customer can choose to use OEM Steyr air cylinder with quick fill, or of course commission or use their own existing air cylinder with Foster fitting for Steyr threading...to be specific, YES we will be offering a Foster type air cylinder (still under development).

In the mean time, here is a brief update - 4 further action blocks are being produced for further testing. Once fully assembled and perhaps before or after all tests are done , we will post more pictures as well as BR targets...

We are on FB and on > https://www.pimpmyairgun.com/viewtopic.php?f=162&t=2234&p=7392#p7392

Thanks

First outing in real world - feedback from Ammion in South Africa:

"I have competed for the first time yesterday in formal BR competition with this rifle. It is very solid and finish is top class. Only shot a few shots prior to yesterday's competition (not even a full card) - and first impression is fantastic. It is super consistent and very accurate.

This rifle won the first formal competition entered - I shot a 247 7x and 250 10x for a 497 17x total in tricky conditions (yes the second full card that I shot with this rifle was a 250 - scored electronically).

For a little perspective: - My younger son Mika (not Liam who competed in last year's World Cup) has not touched an airrifle for more than 18 months, also competed with this rifle yesterday. Shot a 248 15x first target to win the junior class and finished third overall in open class."
