Appearance of Tenex?

Just opened my first box of Tenex the bullets appear gray in color and not shiny black. Is this common or are they oxidized?

Thanks

As Tim posted above, they were never dark, black, or shiny. If you are used to German made ammo, SK, Lapua, RWS, you will see darker shiny bullets. Most likely it's the lube. Eley uses beeswax/tallow for lube and the above-mentioned brands use petroleum distillate which darkens the bullet and leaves a shiny look. If you have oxidized lube on an Eley round it's very apparent. Lube thickens and starts turning white. In extreme cases, it will separate in flaky chunks off the bullet.

Had to take a look at the Tenex I have. I have two lots on hand about
a year apart. Both are a light grey. Purchased those about 5 years ago.
