Are we going to see you at the match ???

How much would each shooter put up $$$ additional to the 100 bucks to shoot for a catered event at the range....... If tthere were at least 40 shooters x 25.00 per head there is a grand.... If people knew there was going to be a event I'm sure there would be more interest than what we have now.

Come to the "Crawfish"

You may see this guy. A lot of people use his triggers and listen to his jokes.

Help us promote the CRAWFISH>>>>>>>>>>>>>We need fun and festivities... Dr. Tim will keep us going but only for so long....................

Doug, I will not make the Crawfish shoot. I have reluctantly decided to give up short range Benchrest. I will make the SS one last time this year and then I plan to shoot only local matches. My reasons for quitting are numerous, but the time has come for me to quit. I am the primary care taker of my 91 year old mother; plus my finances are not suited to this game. Also, I have a chronic neck problem that hampers my shooting to some degree. I will miss the people of BR most of all. I plan to keep my rifle...just in case I have a change of plans. If they bring the Crawfish shoot back to Lafayette, I will be tempted to shoot there again. Good shooting ....James

As always we will miss you as we do all the shooters whom over the years we have lost just to so many reasons such as yours. How is Marshall doing. Please tell him I said hello. It is a sport that does takes the $$$ and time which I myself am coping with both. The construction industry is taking a beating..We sure do miss the hospitality and the way that Lafayette put on the CRAWFISH. We just can't seem to get the interest back from shooters or the Tomball Gun Club either.
I'm sure I wil get slapped about this but thats just the way it is... There are many of us who will put in the pot to get someone catered for the bugs. It seems as though another year will go by with out that happening for folks...It's just sad to see eveeryone at the end of the day put a tarp over there loading table and disapear till the next morning, shoot and go home.

From the last match that I was at just a few weeks ago when you drive in the road to the range they are putting in a new housing development off to the left and after hearing several people it sounds to me that folks will be making some ruckus and I for one am not sure of the future of that range. Guess it's all about the economy and expansion of development.

"CRAWFISH" 2001 Lafayette,LA

Hear are five good reason's to keep the tradition around. Look at the happy faces. I recognize Jeanne Takano and Arnold Jewell. The guy in the Yellow T-shirt is "Hall Of Famer" Dr Dick Maretzo. I never went to the Crawfish when it was in Louisiana. The year I planned to attend was the year it was closed. I remember Speedy Gonzales telling me when I first got addicted to the Sport. He said, try to make it to the Crawfish. You will never forget it.

As Glenn Said "Notice the smiles" Now we all know that Arnold is always smiling, He probably just got done telling a joke !!!

Well Glen I have only known you for about 10 years now... and yes its been that long....
But man your tough today its hard to get you to bite on these....
Did you break your funny bone Glen.
Wow I didnt realize how much Arnold changed since the first time I saw him.

Doug, I wish I could be there but alas its just not going to be in the cards for me this year.
Im not even sure if Ill shoot the Bluebonnet here at my home range this year. It doesnt seem likely.
But they put on a good shoot down at Tomball. I made it to the Crawfish there one year with Shelly but they didnt have mudbugs that year either.
