Al "Boom! Boom!" Auman wins 2017 Virginia State Championship

Al (now known as Boom! Boom!") Auman agged a .2312 beating Smiley's .2591. Todd Jeffers, carpet bagger from PA:cool: took third with a .2614. Todd's dad Don shot a nice .080 in HV100 to take small group and a Screamer patch. WA Talley Jr drilled a .236 in HV 200 to take small group and another Screamer patch.

Great shoot! 30 shooters enjoyed the hospitality of Gil Gross, Mike Jensen, Roanoke Rifle and Revolver Club and especially Ted Manning who handled the scoring. It was really nice to see Ted and we're hoping Ted will be there to compete (more likely kick our butts) in the Ted Manning Challenge this October.

Everything ran like clockwork. This shoot appears to be growing so everyone come shoot at the Ted Manning Challenge October 28-29.

As to the rest of the winners...stats are attached.

Most of you guys did pretty darned well considering the flags, many times, were pointing 380 degrees.

I guess this means the "Smith Brothers Cough Drops " bearded silhouette photo shoot is still on for 2017 ???
