I am looking for a $200ish dollar scope for this back yard plinker. I know this rifle will shoot 50 yards, but all i do with it is plink in the back yard. I took the Vortex off my 308, but it wont focus down to 25 yrds.

Any suggestions on something that will focus that close?

Well, that's not exactly benchrest...

...but take a look at the UTG airgun scopes - they're pretty good for the money and have held up well for me.

Just put a Hawke 4X32 AO on a RAW HM1000

Looking to drop weight and replaced another heavier Hawke AO that worked great for several years (pesting here at the Rancho).

I only shoot to 50yd and the 4X fixed mag works fine, focuses to 20', has mil dots for holdover, and only weighs 11oz or so

(Leupold makes a very nice light weight fixed focus but the parallax is fixed at 100yd. AO scopes allow you to adjust parallax to actual distance)
