Accuracy question

I know a guy who has Cooper 57. When clean it shoots lights out. After about 20 rounds or so the accuracy goes away. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? what could be the cause?

Sound's to me like......Keep it clean & it'll shoot "lights out" Most clean after every card, 30-40 rds. or less.

Lights out is 1/4" at 50 yds. I have just never heard of one opening up that much in 25 to 30 shots. Now I don't know how much it opens up but bit is enough that he shot his 1712s instead.

Cooper.......It sounds to me like you are shooting what you think is a clean (bore) rifle, but it is not as clean as you are thinking. Some times you have to give the barrel a good cleaning with Iosso or JB. What you are doing is cleaning some of it out but not all, so it will foul out sooner then a really clean rifle. I have cleaned and bore scoped after cleaning, more then once, and did not see anything, and yet it would not shoot as well as it has in the past. A good cleaning with Iosso, and it (they) shot very well. Hope this helps. Doug
