The match went very well our numbers are growing we had 11 shooters 4 new to club! One shooter Allen Taylor came a long way to compete. There was one youth shooter Eathen Self who for the first abra competition ever for him shot a very good score of 181! At match time the wind came and so did did some very tight competition. First card Jerry Smith lead with a 193,2nd through 5th were all tied with a 191. In the 2nd card things were still very tight Allen Taylor led the way with a 195 card and a 3 way tie between Eddie Robertson, Jerry Smith and Gerry Risinger for 2nd. Just when you think you know where things are heading the wind changed direction and the 3rd card competition began, again very good shooting throughout the 3rd card.Something told me Jerry wasn't going to take the final card and not give it his best! Jerry shot a very respectable 196 clinching the match win by a mere 2 points over Allen Taylor who finished 2nd Eddie Robertson finished 3rd only 3 points behind Allen Taylor and 5 points behind leader Jerry Smith. The top 6 competitors only had a point spread of 15 points pretty good competitive match if you ask me! All in all a very very fun day shooting the ABRA match!!! Thanks to Joe Chacon and his group for creating such a fun and challenging form of shooting! Congratulations to Jerry on his win, pretty tough crowd. Ole Allen is becoming the ABRA Road Warrior, Tennessee last week and Georgia plus Louisiana this week, actually we sent him down there to do a little scouting for the upcoming tournament. I talked to Boss Hog yesterday for we can't have them Cajuns beating up on us Texans when we roll in to town. We may have to go to plan B, but can't disclose the details. Anyway, calling all y'all folks in that neck of the woods to grab your little semi-auto 22 lead throwers and come join the fun.

Les Williams

ABRA is a semi-automatic rimfire benchrest organization. Some folks have more money into Ruger 10/22 variants than the cost of a brand new RAW! Original poster just made a mistake on which forum to post on.
