I was thinking of building a hunter gun and was wondering if you could shot 115's on a .925 jacket in one with a 17 or 18 twist barrel or if I would be better off using a bullet weight with the 1.000 jackets

Been shooting 115's in my 30x47 for a long time mine are on a 1.000 long jacket the .925's will work just as well in your 17 or 18 twist barrel best of luck to you and enjoy the fun world of Hunter class

You can go as high as 19 twist with your 115s on .925 jackets, 20 twist with 120 - 123 gr. bullets. If you go with the 1.00 jackets and 115 gr bullets, better stay with a 17 twist, especially in cooler weather. I would go for a set up that would utilize the slower twist, less torque. I like 19 twist with 112 gr BIBs.
