We welcomed 12 shooters for a beautiful Sunday morning. There were 10 shooters competing at 50 yards on the new National 50 Benchrest League target to try out for the first unofficial N50BL match. There were two rimfires and .177, .22, .25 and 30 cal pellets competing together. Note those shooting .177 did well compared to the larger pellets thanks to the large .35 scoring plug. Scores & rifles as shown.
It was nice to have Matt and his son Abdul drive the long way to be with us along with some of our regulars shooting 25m on USARB targets.
Conditions started off pleasant but as each relay began the winds and the switch picked up. Personally, am pleased with the participation at 50 yards and hope it will continue and grow in the N50BL. Scoring plugs and targets will be available soon as we officially kick off the new League. Thanks for being patient. A preliminary website is up, National50.org, to review the target & rules. Thank you Dick Strever!
Overall, it was a good time, and thank you shooters for your support, all the goodies to munch on, help with scoring and air from MAC1
For those interested, we would like to have a few more matches in the month, these would be on a Wednesday starting at 9am. Just email me to let me know.
Regards,
Joe
