17 fireball problems

i have a remington 700 in 17 fireball. i have never reloaded for the fireball before,i cannot seat a 20gr. v-max out to the lands because the throat is way to long. can someone recommend a length for bullet jump?

A lot of factory guns have long throats. If you're going to magazine load, you should pick on a seating depth that grabs the V-max enough so it doesn't get roughed up or pused around when your feeding from the magazine, then fiddle your load (& maybe seating depth) for the best accuracy the rig will manage.

You might try sierra bullets,they have more bearing surface,i had the same problem in my .204,i switched to sierra that solved the problem.
