    Precision Shooting index

G'day All, My precious collection starts in 1995 to the very last edition, so I was wondering if anyone out there has an electronic copy of the PS index they could email to me plrease? I know there are articles I would like to read again or to chase up testing relevevant to some projects I have...

Glues for Gluing actions to stocks

G'day All, Thanks to the late contributors, the reason for wanting to glue the action in, is because one is a Benchrest Stolle panda (no recoil lug) and the other is also a BR action, a BAT DS, which I want to use my old BR barrels for varminting and also look at a possible set up for F class...

    Precision Shooting magazine Index

G'day all, I have magazines going back to 1994 to the last edition. I've gone back to reading them again as I'm very disappointed with the local content here in Australia. Does anyone have a copy of the last version of the PS magazine index that they could email me so I can quickly reference...

Glues for Gluing actions to stocks

G'day All, thanks for the info, but I noticed at the local hardware chain there are many JB Weld products. Any particular one or just the regular JB Weld? Many thanks, Geoff

Glues for Gluing actions to stocks

G'day all, I'm reasonably proficient at bedding actions, but I've never glued an action to a stock, not even accidentally! I've assumed you do a regular bedding job (I'm going to do my LBRP Stolle Panda and a BAT DS RB RP Reject into new stocks) then rough it up a bit and then glue it in. Any...

What action configuration is preferred for F Unlimited

Another Lefty G'day All, From my Benchrest and F Open experience, I prefer to have a L/bolt, R/port & L/eject for Benchrest setup. But I'm just as happy to use a R/bolt R/port set up as well. I've tried both action types in F class but I think I prefer the full R/bolt R/port set up as my left...

    Pictures of my latest custom

G'day Butch beautiful and inspiring, I have a stock from the late Geoff Slee down here in Australia, a contempory of Roger Vardy, I suppose. Soon i hope to Geoff's checkering tools humming again................as they should be! Cheerio Geoff W aka Ned Kelly

Action set up for belly shooting f-class style??

G'Day all, I think for a Right Handed shooter a all LBLP set up makes a lot of sense when shooting prone or off a bench. I'm a Left Handed shooter and have used predominately a RBRP Rem700 and RBRP Hall S in BR and F class and now am using a LBRP Stolle. I personally think the RBRP is easier...

    300 yard ppc

G'Day all, you could try a 1:8T 22ppc/22BR with 80gn bullets, I reckon you could get 3200 or there abouts "reasonably" easily. recoil would not be much more than a regular 6ppc. Cheerio Ned Woodend, Australia

    Hall S action

G'Day All, my LV Hall S was opened up to suit a 308 shell and also had the firing pin bushed and it would still extract a ppc case. It was set up as a 6ppc and 6-6.5x47lapua for Benchrest, 500m Fly and F class. Never faulted the extraction of a ppc case since it was reworked approx 6-7 years...

    22Br 1:8 twist for 200-800yds

G'day all, I've got a new 22BR 0.254neck 1:8T krieger palma profile 29" Krieger chambered up on my BR rifle (Bat DS LBRPLE) as a LV and was after first hand experience for load data for either BR use in very crappy & windy conditions as well as f class/ LR BR out to say 6-800yds. Please note...

What thing(s) you do not like on the seb rest?

G'Day Seb, I bought my rest from Rob Carnell at the Australian 2007 BR Nationals and haven't looked back since. Marvelous piece of kit. I'd been looking at the Farleys for some time, but your rest was the best value for $$$ packed with great features like being able to swivel the whole top to...

    Tell me about stock balance

G'Day john, have a look at this, as I think you are referring to torque reaction of a heavy bullet and a fast twist ratating a rifle in the front bags, noticed it myself with my 6x47 in my Hall S and borden stock (ex 10.5lb BR rifle)...

New guy question on Case Volume

G'Day Alastair, my understanding of measuring case volume is a once fired case with a dead primer still in it, is weighed, and then filled with water and weighed again. The difference is the volume of the case measured as the weight of water it holds. hope this helps Cheerio Ned

    Questions for 6-6.5x47 lapua owners.....

G'day Jerry, thanks for the heads up, I was hoping those shooters who are using the 6-6.5x47lapua should by now have some experience with the cartridge in competition and was looking for any differences in performance between the no-turn neck and tight neck chamberings. I can get a no turn neck...

    Questions for 6-6.5x47 lapua owners.....

G'Day All, I'm thinking of ordering a reamer for a new F-open LR rifle here in Australia, so I have just a couple of quick questions that I hope someone may be able to answer....... 1. What is the un-turned neck diameter of a loaded round with a typical 6mm LR bullet? And could you tell me...
