Powder & Primer Storage in Basement Area

What is the best way to store rifle powder(under 50 pounds) and primers (under 10,000) in your house? I want to be as safe as possible in case of fire! Is a wooden box made of 1" plywood sufficent for powder? Should it have a locking lid? Can a separate identical box be used for primers...

Powder Scales @ Shortrange Benchrest Matches

Observations for Mike in Co: The original question of this thread was how many shooters are “using digital scales at a competitive match” Since you do not compete at short range matches (“other than your own club shoots”), nor do you load at the range (also based on your previous statements to...

My experience with a 36X Weaver target scope--it's good!

Jackie, Why are you bad mouthing a Weaver 36X scope? Have you ever used one? I use both Weaver and Leupold, both are good scopes. The weaver just costs a lot less money!

    Scope Question?

I have a friend looking for a scope with a one inch (1MOA) dot at 100 yards. Does anyone know of a factory produced variable scope with a 50 mm objective that has a one inch Dot Reticle (power approxiately 3 x 10)? I see that Leupold 3x9 has a 3.6 inch (3 Power) by 1.4 inch ( 9 power). Any...

    Reloading Safety Question

I have several hundred resized and primed 22-250 cases that were fired in an old factory barrel and chamber. My new krieger 22-250 barrel and chamber is tighter! Is there any safety issues with resizing these primed cases using a Redding Full Length Type S Bushing die so that they will...

    Pet Loads for 20BR

I am having trouble finding a good load for my 20BR; I have tried various powders and seating depths, but always seem to get a couple of flyers. My groups average about 3/4 inch, I seem to always get 2-3 bullets touching and a couple of flyers at random . My gun is Rem 700 with a Shilen...

    The shape of benches.

I shoot from a wheelchair, and would highly recommend the T-shape. The shown U-shape bench may prevent easy access or use. Please use the T-shape and allow enough leg and foot rest room to get under the benches without craming your toes. Height is also a consideration.
