Seems slow to I tried it in the BR imp. And it was slow also. My old Lederer barrel at 27” ran H4895 at 2990 with 31.1 gr. With Barts 105’s And it was shooting 3-5” ten shot groups at 1000 yds.

    Bullet sorting

I sort all bullets……. Burgers, sorted and trimmed and pointed them.I won some 1000 yard matches with till that lot ran out. Then I went to Spencers and I sorted them and trimmed and pointed them, did a fair amount of winning and set records with them. Went to Barts and do well with them also and...

    Who is the gunsmith?

It sure takes a lot longer to build a gun right than it does to chamber a barrel... a well known GS. just sent me a pic of seven barrels he did in 3 hrs. on his new cnc machine.... Jim

    Closing cam

That is timing, to close smoothly, but to engrave one .130 seems a bit much to me..... Seems most rimfire guys don't talk about firing pin travel or spring tension at the cocked height or even timing... Jim

    Closing cam

Tony, what I'm saying is that tight fit mean almost nothing.... I have Borden actions with .0015 clearance and Kelbly's that. are on the fat side of ,0035 and they both shoot in the zero's at 100. there are more important factors than that.... Jim

    Closing cam

I don't have a custom action that won't do the same without a huge bolt handle on it. they will all close nice and slow with the right lube on them. Closing cam what is that ? Cocking cam means more in smoothness and speed and not upsetting the rifle in the bags, that is why 3 lug actions...

    Closing cam

Tony, A pre 64 model 70 will do the same thing, open the bolt and tilt the muzzle down and the bolt will close and the bolt handle will fall down and it was with a complete bolt ..... no big deal and the bolt is running over a follower in the Mag. A statement made then was when a model 70 was...

Kev, Good to hear, that is the best thing I ever done, saves a ton of guess work to be able to test all the lot and be able to buy what worked best...... Jim

    Testing ammo at test centers.

Sad to hear that the test site is closing down and Luke is moving on. Had a good test with a lot of different lots. I have a different out look on what will happen when the gun goes back in the stock and is shot off the bench. A proven fact that a rifle will shoot better than it does in a jig...

    Rimfire chambers

Evelio, Thanks for the tip and it worked .... I can't see it on the bullet but I can see it out of the barrel from touch. I did remove the lube and was a more positive stop. Thanks again for the info. Jim
