I have one also that seems to have a spot that is not clear. But at times it seems good. I thought about sending it in but figured they would say it was fine.

You could sell the 52 and and add what you will spend and buy one of the new builds in the classifieds. Or I would think it would cost you at least 7 or 8 hundred to have a new barrel put on. Or go to some shoots and trade up.

But the witness marks or rifling marks appear to be strait. I thought they would be at an angle to follow the rifling twist? But then...

Here are some pics of eley tenex and club that I chambered in the suhl. You can se three distinct witness marks on the bands but are not cut or engraved. But this is a Hart 3 groove and I dont know how invasive the rifling is , but you can see the club brass is crimped and also some of the lead...

ok. I will try taking the jag down a few thousands. I just dont like to push that hard.

Ok I am using a pro shot rod .202 and jag is .180 and a 1 inch round cotton patch. Just seems to hard to push. Would a .17 cal setup work better? I think the rod diameter is ok. Seems like the jag needs to be a little smaller.
