    Attack of the 40X

Or buy a full custom rifle the first time and beat up on the 40 x’s . Because like most of us we wasted tons of money working our way up

    Sightron - Nightforce

I bought one. I just did not want to spend the cost of the NF. I asked some guys that had both. They said the sightron was almost as good and some said it was just as good up until a certain power. I really like mine. I was using a weaver t-36. Just never could get the weaver clear enough...

    Weaver warranty work

I have one also that seems to have a spot that is not clear. But at times it seems good. I thought about sending it in but figured they would say it was fine.

    suhl 150

I do. I have had several . Don't see them much at the big match's any more but lots of them still at local match's . Best trigger I think. I like the 40 x action better because of the slick and easier bolt opening, but always seem to end up with the suhl's and anschutz

Status of World Wide Accuracy ?

There is a thread over there now talking as if it sold, but no names. Looks like an invoice too . I figure there will be something back up and running .

    Rebarrel model 52C

You could sell the 52 and and add what you will spend and buy one of the new builds in the classifieds. Or I would think it would cost you at least 7 or 8 hundred to have a new barrel put on. Or go to some shoots and trade up.

    Randolph Rests

I think they are easily swapped .

    Something Happened

I have a question for the experienced tuner, tuners. Ok I beleive twisting the tuner can help if you know which way and how far. So has anyone tested enough to know, ballpark. How many clicks to go on a temp change or precip change. In other words I am shooting my well tuned rifle at 80 degrees...

    A Chet Amick Rifle

Well I took a chance on buying the gun. In hopes that it would just be somewhat competitive without spending the cost of a complete custom. I think it is going to serve me well enough to shoot a few bigger matches a year. And with a little history behind it. I shoot a lot of usbr and use three...

    A Chet Amick Rifle

Yes the marks are equal . The pics ar bad because I had to zoom in so far to be able to see the marks. May try again later. The marks or dark lines ar really hard to see with the eye, you have to have it at just the right angle and light. They are actually shiny. The zoom makes them look like...

    A Chet Amick Rifle

Well I guess the club is just a little larger in diameter than the tenex. I can't tell that they are longer by measuring . The club is a little harder to chamber. But the witness marks or rifling marks appear to be strait. I thought they would be at an angle to follow the rifling twist? But then...

    A Chet Amick Rifle

Here are some pics of eley tenex and club that I chambered in the suhl. You can se three distinct witness marks on the bands but are not cut or engraved. But this is a Hart 3 groove and I dont know how invasive the rifling is , but you can see the club brass is crimped and also some of the lead...

    Cleaning rod question

Ok I am using a pro shot rod .202 and jag is .180 and a 1 inch round cotton patch. Just seems to hard to push. Would a .17 cal setup work better? I think the rod diameter is ok. Seems like the jag needs to be a little smaller.

    A Chet Amick Rifle

Don, did they all shoot well? I hope with the chamber not engraving that maybe ,it will not be so picky on ammo. It would be nice if the family would find a smith to turn over his work to , and to further his methods and to see how his method would work with today's actions and barrels.

    A Chet Amick Rifle

This one I have seems to shoot most ammo. I have not had it long enough to know for sure. It seems from what little I have shot it to be a shooter. I have been refinishing and bedding the stock. Going to try and find a tune and take it to the swamp shoot in February and see how it shoots. Can...
