I settled on an AC Tech brand drive that is NEMA 4X rated. https://www.valinonline.com/products/esv222n02yxc I thought the price was reasonable for the specs. I'll update the thread once I install & start using the drive.

Anyone care to state their preference in inverters? There are a couple of brands that I have not had good luck with especially in a dirty/dusty environment. I have dealt with multiple brands and not sure I have a favorite so looking to see what is used and why.

I've heard negative comments on Chinese built VFDs on eBay. Is there any support in the US for drives purchased on eBay?

Can somebody recommend a cheaper vfd for a Powermatic model 90 lathe. It has a 1.5 hp 3 phase motor on it? A friend of mine recommended Hitachi but I thought that was pricey. I was hoping for something less expensive.

Hi, I'm sorry I posted in the wrong forum. I found a low cost vfd from LEESON with a POT.

I am trying to find a low cost alternative to KB AC drives that would work for me. The best thing that I like about the KB's is the knob for speed adjustment. It seems the others I have found are all push button. I would love to hear what everyone is using.
