Bullet choice strictly for 100 yards score matches.

I would go with the 12 twist barrel unless it's a tomato stake, and the 68bt's will be fine. A shooter I know says that most competitors he shoots with in score are using LT-32 since it's more forgiving on the tune.

Wayne Campbell wins 36th Annual Hog Roast

I didn't do very well at this event, but I did finally manage to nail down a tune window with the powder and tuner on both of my rifles. The HV had a mechanical issue that sidelined it for the last relay. My wind reading skills are not nearly good enough. But at least I can trust the rifle and...

    Watching Wind Flags

I've only been shooting for a couple years, so my flag reading technique is well behind some others here, but in response to your question, the flag that demands the most attention can change depending on the range you're shooting. There are 3 ranges in the eastern Region that have a strong...

Spring Tune up at WWCCA, MI. 4.20.24

My Heavy gun did fairly well. That was my best yardage agg to date. My light gun however was a train wreck! All this new equipment is going to take more time to sort out.

    Flinching

I'm not particularly recoil sensitive, but the muzzle blast can get me at times. I started wearing ear plugs as well as noise cancelling ear muffs and it's much better now.

    powder prices

It could also be that Hodgdon is manipulating the market since they own so many different brands. Last year hodgdon brand powders were scarce, but the Accurate Arms line filled shelves. VV is the only one that has exercised some restraint.

    powder prices

VV hasn't gotten stupid with their pricing. Alliant went through the roof earlier this year. AA did too in the spring, but came back to earth later. Now they have gotten ridiculous again. I have 28lbs of VV and 10 of LT-32, so I can play the waiting game until a deal comes along.

    Sub ounce trigger pull measurement

I use a fishing weight in a piece of fishing line. The trick to it is to use a piece of line long enough for the weight to sit on the ground, then put it over the trigger and lift up. If you try to put it over the trigger and lower it until it's tight, it almost always sets it off. I don't know...

    Primer question

I tested a bunch of different brands last year, and the CCI 450 and BR4 primers shot better than any other brand. Unfortunately, they are among the most expensive. It doesn't pay to shoot primers that don't perform, so I keep buying them. Recently my local Sportsmans Warehouse got in 5K of the...

    Flags?

Where were you planning on shooting CF? Ezell and Graham are popular flags. I would suggest 4 flags for out to 100yds. For 50yds, 2 would be a good starting point, and maybe add a 3rd later once you get used to using them. That airgun is gonna get pushed around a lot, so more flags would be of...

Secrets of the houston warehouse bullet jump question

Depends on the contour of the barrel and whether or not it will make weight. You can probably make 4 or more different barrel configurations from the same blank depending upon where you cut it that will all shoot differently even if they were all the magical 21 3/4.
