Zane Athey Wins River Bend

crb

Ray Brooks
Zane Athey shot a .128" group on the last target of the day to secure a well deserved win in RBGC's monthly club match. Zane's .2360 took 1st place in the 100 yd agg and this combined with his 3rd place 200 yd agg of .3792 gave him the grand agg victory. Ray Brooks with the Metal Mayhem 30BR won the morning's 200 yd segment with a .3394 but his .3044 100 yd agg in the afternoon, while good enough for 2nd at 100, wasn't good enough to keep the surging Zane at bay.

Wayne Hunt topped 3 Production class shooters with his 6BR Savage. He shot a commendable .4731 grand agg.

The conditions were much like the previous 2010 group matches. Switchy, letupy, mixed up and with lots of stuff that didn't show on the flags. The breezes did provide a bit of cooling for the overheated shooters  We had 14 shooters which is the most we have had so far this year. We also had a new guy show up to check out our program. He and his son have a couple of Bat's on order and we look forward to seeing them soon.
