Yes, another newbie

Finally took my first visit to a 1,000 yard range. Hooked. All I want to do now is keep my head in drop tables and shop for scopes. And shoot. Shoot shoot shoot. Looking for a place to start. Anyone have books to suggest or a place to start for the beginning long-range shooter? I want to build good technique and habits early.
