I just bought this gun and started working up some loads. Anyone have one if so what loads do you have good success with. This might save me some time, I would appreciate it. I got done shooting 50gr nosler with 37.5 to 34.5grs of powder. Not liking the 50 grn.

50 grain Nosler Bt's 41 grains H380 shoot really well in a friends XR-100 I load for.

Clean your bore really well, and play with the seating depth.

22-250 load

My Remington 700 liked a 52 grain Flatbase pill with a full case of 4064. You should be able to find starting load data for that powder. It is very forgiving on the hot side. My choice of primer is Fed 200.
Good luck, I have a xr-100 on my want list.
Jeff:)

I like flat based bullets too. I don't like 50gr bullets in a 22-250 tho. The old standby of 38gr of H380 is as good a starting place as any. The 53gr SMK is a good bullet. If your rifle don't like that one, the 52gr SMK BT is a good one also.

Evans9951: My newish XR-100 in 22-250 likes a stout (but not over maximum!) load of Varget powder behind a 52 gr. Berger bullet!
I am also using Winchester brass and Federal 210M (match) primers.
The last two groups (5 shots at 100 yards) my XR-100 made measured .434" (light wind conditions and 32 degrees) and on a previous day (when it was 14 degrees and calm wind) the group measured .397".
I have only tried two loads in this new XR-100 to date.
I have been using it on Colony Varmints and it sure performs well there.
I may do some more load testing this coming winter but so far I am happy with the terminal results with the Berger 52's on all kinds of Varmints.
The one bullet I want to try this winter is the Nosler 55 gr. Ballistic Tip.
I have a Leupold 6.5x20 variable scope on this Rifle and its all factory stock.
Best of luck with your new XR-100 and be sure to let us know how it's coming along.

I think this rifle is not fussy about loads. I was speaking with Nathan the other day, and he ran out of my ammo, and picked up some federal hp at the gun store, he said he had to move 2 clicks on the elevation and the group was excellent with the factory loads, indicative of an easy rifle to tune.

26 coyotes and 5 deer he's taken with this. I wish i could post a video he made shooting does at the lease with it. They drop like a stone.
