Wow, look what I found cleaning out the garage!!

I'm almost 66 years old and cleanup day has become the equivalent of Christmas for me.
I open a cabinet or move some stuff around and say to myself, "I didn't know I had that."
Found 16 pounds of powder a while back, still in the shipping box.
 
Finding 16 pounds of powder would be just like Christmas

For me if it was AA-1680. Heck, at this point, I'd be happy if I found a pound of that stuff to play with. Been looking for almost a year for some.
Getting ready to clean out the garage from my apartment I had been living in. My oldest daughter has had it for the last year. Might be lucky and find some old brass or a broken fishing rod, but there won't be any powder, primers or bullets.
 
Last time I cleaned out my garage I found the following: The Ark of the Covenant, Howard Hughes' diary, Barak Obama's birth certificate, Amelia Earhart's airplane and Jimmy Hoffa. Tim
 
I wish i had your money tim. Maybe i could buy some of those type collectables. I buy rediculous stuff like mt dew belt buckles and 1800's cowboy hats then find em years later.

Dusty, I need to elaborate about my collectables. The Ark may not be genuine. I found an empty can of gold spray paint in it when I opened it. The airplane is a crumpled up model in the bottom of an aquarium. Howard's diary consists of 230 pages all containing the word GERMS surrounded by a circle with a slash through it. Jimmy Hoffa is a piece of concrete pillar from a freeway overpass with a skeletal arm sticking out of it. The Obama birth certificate lists him as coming from Uranus. I believe this to be authentic. The birth certificate that the White

House released lists Obama's birth as August 4, 1961 and

lists Barack Hussein Obama as his father.





No big deal, Right? At the time of

Obama's birth, it also shows that his father is aged 25

years old, and that Obama's father was born in

"Kenya, East Africa".



This wouldn't seem like anything of concern, except the

fact that Kenya did not even exist until 1963, two whole

years after Obama's birth, and 27 years after his

father's birth. How could Obama's father have been

born in a country that did not yet exist? Up and until Kenya

was formed in 1963, it was known as the "British East

Africa Protectorate".

Lowell made a batch of 65FB bullets on some 800 Sierras in 2014. I bought 6k of them and they are my reference bullet. i.e. If a barrel will not shoot them, it just flat will not shoot...most times. A new barrel I tried to make shoot at the IBS that showed promise with them before I left home but they went berserk at Weikert in that barrel??

But, much of the problem I had at Weikert was that range faces due East and the sun rises over the target line. Weikert, one of the most beautiful spots in North America and a most efficient and gracious crew but it is a B**** to see detail until about noon.

I switched to another gun for one day and did much better...for me, shooting that same Sierra load. But, determined to make that new barrel shoot those Hottenstine 800 Sierras, I went back to that barrel and bombed again!

I don't think Lowell has used the 800 Sierras again. There is getting to be more competition in the jacket manufacturing business...good news for us shooters.
