I've spent the last weekend and all day today scoring targets, and sorting thru all the numerous submissions that I've had lately and I'm proud to announce the following new world records:

All of the 5 shot single group records at 200 yards have been broken in the last 6 months!!! ALL OF THEM!!!!!

The new records are;

Unlimited 5 shot single group record at 200 yards, .0846 shot by Mark Walker on 7/3/2009

Heavy Varmint 5 shot single group at 200 yards .096 shot by Mark Buettgen on 8/22/2009

Light Varmint 5 shot single group at 200 yards .075 shot by Johnnie Stewart on 7/17/2009

and last, but by a long shot not least, the Sporter 5 shot single group at 200 yards .086 shot by Tom Libby on 9/25/2009. This one is a 50-5X also, it's a really beautiful target

Congratulations to all of you guys,
Fine job!!

Besides those single group records we have the following new aggregate and grand aggregate records.

Unlimited 8, 10 shot groups at 100 yards the new record aggregate is .1941, shot by Tony Boyer on 9/21/2009

Unlimited 5, 10 shot groups at 100 yards. The new record aggregate is .199 shot by Rick Graham on 7/3/2009

Light Varmint 5, 5 shot groups at 200 yards. The new record aggregate is .1558 shot by Gene Bukys on 9/24/2009

The following records have been broken twice at the nationals in St Louis this year

Light Varmint grand aggregate 5 shots at 100 and 5 shots at 200 yards The new Grand Aggregate record was shot by Jack Neary a fine .1776 and then was bested by Tony Boyer with a great .1719 both shot on 9/24,25/2009

We had the same thing happened in the Sporter class with two people breaking the existing record at the same shoot.

Sporter Grand Aggregate 5 shots at 100 and 5 shots at 200 yards, the new record was shot by Gary O'Cock a fine .1897 and was bested by Jack Neary who shot a .1886 both of these were also shot on 9/24,25/2009

Congratulations to all the people who worked hard to set all these new world records.

I would also like to thank the other guys on my Records committee, Ron Hoehn, Kent Harshman, and Lowell Frei
You guys really do get-er-done, Thanks.

Your targets will be in the mail back to you shortly, with a letter of your accomplishments from me. You will also be receiving a certificate from the secretary of the NBRSA.

The records posted to this web site have been updated and should be current as of today.

Hope to see all of you at a shoot soon!!!

New world records

Congratulations to all who have set these incredible world records. Way to go guys!!!

Gene, thanks for the posting. Congrats to all the new record holders.
For sure 2010 will be a year to really challange group shooters.

Gene, thanks, although I find it interesting that Johnnie Stewart's target measured .027 larger then it measured at the time it was shot, (.047). Gordon Errp (SP) spent a very long time agonizing over that target, probably a good five minutes or longer.

Dan Honert:confused:

Congratulations to All

Simply outstanding.

As phenominol as all of the new records are, I think Libby's "zero" at 200 yards is still a thing of beauty. It looks like he indicated the moth ball in a mill, and then drilled a hole, (a small one), right smack in the middle.

Also, kudos to Gene Bukys and his record committee. Gene is a personal friend, and I can attest to the serious thought and effort he is putting into this job........jackie
