Wolf Pup Wins!!

Atta boy, Stan!

Yep....'Manly Stanley' shot steady and smooth in nasty conditions for the 100 yd. VfS win. 250-18X's in conditions where less than half of the 24 shooters stayed clean at 100. Winds were 25-35 with the 'pushes' topping 40 on Saturday. Sunday was slightly more managable, with the push stalling out at 30 mph. ;) 8's were common at 200.

Other winners were 'Iron Mike' Bigelow in the Two Gun Grand, Tom 'Bling Bling' Gollob with a well deserved VfS Grand win, Craig Nagle and James Lederer with Hunter wins.

A special treat for me was seeing my pal Mike Kihne shoot hard for a Top Five finish in the VfS Grand in his first registered BR match. Since deciding to get involved with Benchrest, Mike has worked hard, acquired good equipment and paid his dues with lots of practice locally in all sorts of conditions. Always great to see new people in the sport.

Thanks to the Webster City crew. You guys and gals always make it a pleasure to shoot there.

Good shootin'. -Al
