I have several Wilson setups with this characteristic. I don't see it as a problem I guess...

your own chamber reamer, then pilot it up and run it into the seater enuf to alleviate the problem. Otherwise your stepped base will do it as well, as long as you don't misplace the base.

This is a common problem and there is only one RIGHT way to fix it and that's with the reamer used to chamber your rifle. I assume you do not do your own chambering or you would have already fixed it. If your smith is nearby, have him run the reamer in the seater slightly so the sized cases do not protrude from the die base. You can relieve a die base but that's not the best way to do it.

There is some disagreement on how deep the seater should be chambered; recommendations range from .005 to whatever. The way I do it is to lay a straight edge across the bottom of a seated round. If you can slip a piece of paper between the base of the case and the straight edge your good to go.

Have you read the adjusting instructions for the stem? Are you using the proper Seater for the 30X47?

Wilson has them: http://www.lewilson.com/stainlesssteelmicrobulletseater.html

Scroll down for available calibers. :)

i do have the right seater and it is even without the stem to short
i do my own chambering but not for the 30x47 and the guy that has the reamer lives about 850 mls from my place
so for me for now the easyest way is to measure the diff and make me a base that take care of the problem
and have my die corrected in the winter

thx all for the help
