Worker: I have been chasing accuracy with Rifles for more than 40 years now.
I have to agree with Beemanbeme regarding his views on circumcision!
Each Rifle is an individual when it comes to accuracy no matter what religion they belong to.
Now, seriously, another persons Rifle may shoot both the Nosler offerings quite well OR both not well at all - like another poster said "feed it what it likes".
Let me expound just a tad on this trend I have encountered over the decades - I have found that high intensity cartridges (like the 22-250 Remington, 220 Swift, 17 Remington and the 240 Weatherby) can often be finicky as to their likes and dislikes.
Including brands and styles of bullets in the same weight!
While low intensity cartridges like the 222 Remington, 221 Remington Fireball, 6mm Remington Bench Rest, 6x47 and the new 17 Remington Fireball are easily made to be accurate with a wider spectrum of bullet styles, bullet weights, bullet brands, powder types, over all lengths, speeds and etc!
I don't know why.
With your higher intensity 22-250 Remington Ackley Improved Rifle and at least one preferential bullet found for it - I would tend to be happy with that.
Or, in other words, I don't know exactly WHY your Rifle prefers one style of bullet over another - but I am not surprised that it does.
Also this, be sure to try the Berger 52 grain bullets in your Rifle IF you are interested in trying to glean even more accuracy from your rig. These have worked well for me.
From the Nosler Bullets website under bullets, under CT Ballistic Tips Bullet Information - item #6: "Lubalox® exterior coating reduces fouling, pressure and friction between bullet and bore providing longer barrel life, easier cleaning and enhanced accuracy".
I have used Nosler bullets for 40+ years now and usually they are amongst the more accurate bullets I have tried for many, many dozens of Rifles (Varmint & Big Game Rifles) that I have reloaded for.
I have NOT used any of the Nosler CT Ballistic Tips as yet.
Wishing you continued success with your 22-250 Remington Ackley Improved!
Hold into the wind
